Street Cat Metals was brought to life in 2023 by Zofia. With an attraction to shiny, precious things, she decided learning to make her own jewellery would be more financially viable than buying her own. (It wasn’t).

Luckily, Zofia fell in love with silversmithing after a mixture of self-taught experiments and midnight youtube surfing. She has frankensteined her skills together to develop the distinct sand-cast rings, and heavy chains featured in her work.

Zofia coined her brand after her love for her broody, magpie coloured cat Cleo, who was eternalised in the first rendition of SCM’s logo.

From humble beginnings hand stamping boxes in a cramped share house, Zofia is now in a slightly less cramped sharehouse, sharing her tangible, forever art with the world.
